Hey everyone! Here is Day 2 for the Nintendo E3 Report. Like I've said before, this is going to be split up into many parts, because Day 2 featured a lot of games. But if you didn't read the Day 1, go check it out! Nintendo E3 Report: Day 1 We're going to cover two games today! Pokemon Go Plus Pokemon GO Plus @ E3 2016 and Ever Oasis Ever Oasis @ E3 2016 First Up: Pokemon GO Plus Treehouse members introduced us to the many guests that were present. There were developers, translators, and field testers present that day. From the Pokemon Company there was Mr. Ishihara, from GAME FREAK Inc. there was Mr. Masuda, from Niantic, Inc. there was Mr. Nomura, from Nintendo there was Mr. Miyamoto, translator #1 is David Numrich and translator #2 is Raymond, and the two field testers were Mr. Josh (I couldn't figure out the rest of his name) and Aaron "Cybertron" Zheng. First, we're are going to be focusing on the Pokemon GO app, then the Pokemon GO Plus. The Pokemon GO app is where you go and search for nearby Pokemon. Sort of like Geocaching, if you know what that is. Then, once you've found the Pokemon, you have the ability to capture it. And as you capture more Pokemon, you can battle and trade Pokemon, like in the Nintendo games, but for your phone. This app looks fabulous! The animation that went into this is the same amazing animation that goes into any Pokemon game. Here's the trailer:
Doesn't it look exhilarating? But remember the little red and white teardrop thing that the woman with the glasses had? That's what we're going to be talking about right no: the Pokemon GO Plus. The Pokemon GO Plus is an attachable tracker that connects via blue-tooth. This tracker allows users to use GO without the use of their smartphone. How this works, I'm not quite sure, but hey! There is still being tested. It'll all make sense in the end. The Pokemon GO will have some connectivity with the main Pokemon series as well. Again, how this is going to happen, I don't know. But don't worry. It'll come together and make so much sense, that it should've been thought of. :) But for some game-play like details! With the Pokemon you capture, as you travel, you will gain candies. These candies look like a specific Pokemon, therefore, if you get a specific amount of candies for a specific Pokemon, you can evolve them. E.X. If you have a 25 HP Squirtle, you would need 25 Squirtle candies. It's that simple. I'm quite sure that the more you capture Pokemon, the different kinds of candies you get. Also, remember that part in the trailer where all these people came together to battle Mewtwo? Well, that type of collaborative battling is a maybe in the future. I hope that it is added, because that would be absolutely amazing to be able to battle with someone else! Pokemon GO Plus comes out at the end of July. Next Is: Ever Oasis Now I hadn't heard of anything about Ever Oasis until that day. Like seriously, nothing. I'm usually up to date on the games Nintendo releases, both Japanese and American. The reason for the lack of knowledge was that Ever Oasis is completely new! This was the first time that it was being introduced. So I got quite excited. Anyways, back to the report. With the game being new, there was obviously a guest. For Ever Oasis's guest, Treehouse had Mr. Koichi Ishii-san, a Final Fantasy director! Cool, right? But it gets cooler... :P The developers of the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D. (I'm not done with the awesome coolness, though.) This game is an action, adventure, RPG game, but it's also like Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Or something like that. That's what it looked like to me. You manage shops that gather these water droplets that are your currency to do many things. Like get more shops or fun little play things. These shops or cute little attractions gather and attract others from across the land into your oasis. With these newcomers, if you befriend them and help them, they can become you adventure buddies! This is especially helpful because each dungeon is tailored for specific friends. So you might have to redo dungeons to get all of the items, or come back to the oasis to get the correct friend for a dungeon. It is a really unique looking game. Like normal games, you can pick between a boy and a girl. The Treehouse members said that there were many was to customize, if I remember correctly, but they didn't feature that in the game-play that they were doing. They only played as the boy and let me tell you. That boy is soooo cute! The art style in the game is adorable! Everyone is so cute and tiny and honestly, this is in the best way possible, they look like nendoroids, but in a game. Like the Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX! But we're not talking about that today. If you go find pictures or fiddle around the Nintendo E3 site and look at Ever Oasis, you can see that some of their clothing looks very Egyptian. And that's because some of it was inspired by the Egyptian design and some friends even have names of Egyptians. I found this element very cool and it instantly appealed to me because I love Egypt (because of Yu-Gi-Oh!) and I always love it when people inspire things off of something, like Egypt, to get something amazing. Though the Treehouse members didn't go quite into detail about this, they claimed that the game had a strong story-line. With the little that I do know about it, it would probably spoil the whole thing, and I don't ever want to ruin the story plot line for any book or game. Never ever. (That's why I give such bad book reviews. ;P) In the game, there is a day and night cycle (how long each is, I don't know). I'm quite sure that the day/night cycle effects the creatures you battle in the desert. ('Cause your oasis is based in the desert.) I think they make them stronger then when you battle them in the daytime. Which gives you a harder element in the game. All of the game-play is engaging, interesting and intriguing. The game sucks you right in at the very beginning, which I think is very essential for any game. All of the games components makes for a game that shows amazing potential, and I am very excited to find out more about this game. Ever Oasis comes out in 2017. There are some more awesome games coming up in the Nintendo E3 2016 Report! Can't wait to show you the rest of the games that have been shown! Are you looking forward to any of these games? Tell us in the comments!
