Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting a ton. Not only am I rushing to prepare myself for NaNoWriMo (which is only 23 days away), I'm trying to catch up on school (which I am kind of behind in... I still have an 'A' though!). What are YOU doing to prepare for NaNoWriMo? I've been thinking about this question a TON lately, and I realized--nothing. All I've done is make my 'book cover' (it's cool... But it could be WAY cooler), think up a book summary and name it. Then, I'm going to panster it all the way through (so much for being a planner... -_-). Would you like to know what my NaNoWriMo book is called and is about? I'm not going to leave you in the suspense this time. :D My book is called 'Another Imagination'. Abbie can see things others can't. A rare ability to some, a curse to others. Watching the beautiful creatures move around and about has people scared that she'll be influenced to do something she's not suppose to, but on the contrary the creatures that she sees want to be her friend, to be laughed with, to have someone love them. Do you like it? I can't wait to start writing! I'm going to have a character interview with Abbie some Thursday this month, so be on a look out! Are YOU participating in NaNoWriMo? Are you thinking about doing it this year? Do you have a book that you're about to start (even if you aren't doing NaNoWriMo)? By the way, I'm thinking about having a 'Book Cover Contest' for my book because I made a cover for myself, but I'm not sure if it really fits... If you like the idea, I'll consider putting the contest into action. Thank you so much everyone for what you do! (c) All rights reserved. You heard it right! Jill Williamson's 'By Darkness Hid', the first book in the Blood of Kings Trilogy, is free on eBook! By Darkness Hid - Amazon Cool right? I'll give you a fact about it. It's her oldest published book and it's been out ever since 2009. I would love to see this book be at the top of the bestseller list. Here's the summary. Given the chance to train as a squire, kitchen servant Achan Cham hopes to pull himself out of his pitiful life and become a Kingsguard Knight. When Achan's owner learns of his training, he forces Achan to spar with the Crown Prince--more of a death sentence than an honor. Meanwhile, strange voices in Achan's head cause him to fear he's going mad. While escorting the prince to a council presentation, their convoy is attacked. Achan is wounded and arrested, but escapes from prison--only to discover a secret about himself he never believed possible. I've read that summary at least five times and I still get an amazing fuzzy feeling (it's the kind when something incredible happened in a movie).
Would you like to help get it to the top? Click on the picture (or the 'By Darkness Hid - Amazon' above the picture) and it'll go straight to Amazon. And buy it! WELL, your not really buying it, your just getting it. So go get it! Have fun and help her get to the top!
Let me sum this up in three-ish words....

It was literally the best day of my life. (it was even better than Christmas!) When I went to my first class (Map Making 101 by Jill Williamson) I REALLY wanted to scream because I was meeting one of the Go Teen Writers authors. It was the best class EVER. My next class was Villains We Love To Hate. It was very informational and I got tons of ideas for a villain(s). :D My next class (after lunch of course) was Favorite Books and How They Inspire Your Writing. It was really good. Like really. After that class was The Art of Inspiration and Thievery. If I had to say awesome 10 times. I would. Natalie Whipple draws manga, writes books, AND is a great artist. It was amazing! Then, my next class was What the Crap is Voice? I need to get me some of that by Margie Jordan. Man, I could listen to her talk for hours and think of nothing but writing. It was the best. And after that I did I Want to be Published! I learned so much stuff in there that I am no debating whether or not I should do self-publishing or publishing (there is a difference). Everyone in my family (except Charisma) says I should take the self-publishing route. But I'm still thinking about it. Okay, after that everybody came back to the Ballroom and watched these amazing performers do an interpretative dance for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy. If I could take any dance class, I would go find those performers and tell them I want to be just like them. Because, I am not joking, you wish you could see it THOUSANDS of times. It was WAAAYY better than EPIC. After Brandon Sanderson's Keynote, it was the First Chapter Contest winners. I had entered and I expected to win to be one of the ten runner ups... but nope. I didn't win. It was sad... But that encourages me more to do better next year! :3 And at the very beginning of TABC, they showed a video called 'I'm Reading A Book'... IT WAS HILARIOUS! Here you go! :D
hehehe... I love that. :3 SO after that, it was the TEEN AUTHOR BOOT CAMP AUTHOR BOOK SIGNING! I jumped up and ran to Jill Williamson's booth and asked her to sign my TABC tee-shirt (because I wasn't wearing it). She signed it, and, after I said thank you, ran to the rest of the authors asking them to do the same thing. GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!
THANK YOU TEEN AUTHOR BOOT CAMP FOR EXISTING!
Only two more weeks till TABC guys! I'm so excited!
-_- I still don't have my outfit plan... I just need one more thing.... But ANYWHO. Today is the NEW BOOK sneak-peak! Are you guys ready?
Okay, so my book is about the moon. I chose the moon because it's so mystical and you can do so much with it. I have three main characters. McKenna, May, and McKenna's mother. Awesome right? I even have the title! I would tell you more, but I want to leave it as a surprise. Sorry!
But what I can tell you is that I entered this book for the First Chapter Contest for TABC! And this was actually the book that my mother said that I had the imagination of George Lucas for. (George Lucas is George Lucas... He's name is pure awesomeness.) So yeah! Thanks everybody for reading! I'm really excited for TABC!
People! ONLY 15 more's days left!
<3 It's so nerve-racking! I've found out TONS of things. They're super exciting things and super 'OH MY GOODNESS' type of things. So, let me go in order. 1) I found out that Rick Riordan is coming out with a new series called Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. I love Asgard/Thor/Loki/Odin and I love Rick Riordan. Do you know how awesome those to things are combined?! And.... sadly... no..... I haven't read Percy Jackson. I'm waiting till next month to. If my parents approve. (I hope they will...... -_-) ..... :3 (And I thank a special source for this information... :D) 2) Okay, I've also found out that Tyler Whitesides is coming out with a 5th Janitor's book September this year... I AM SO EXCITED! I'm starting that series when we go the the library. People, I've wanted to read that book every since 2012. TWO THOUSAND AND TWELVE! And it's 2015... I've waited 3 years... Wow, that's a long time. But... I do have a cover!
Epic right?
3) There is going to be a TABC bookstore at TABC and I-AM-FREAKING-OUT about that. You know how many books I can purchase to my hearts desire?! THERE ARE GOING TO BE DISCOUNTED TOO. Teen Author Boot Camp, you've made my day for a whole entire two weeks.
Okay, what else did I want to tell you guys... Hmm... I think that's pretty much it!
Thanks and tell me in the comments what book you're looking forward too and what you will be doing in two weeks! AND I will be saving my itty bitty book peek for tomorrow!
it is. Now, I just need my mom to check it and see if it's good enough to enter. Well, it's good enough, I just need her to look over it to see if I need to edit it bit and to see if the plot is new and different.
Are you excited for the upcoming Fan-Fiction Story that I'm going to write (which, by the way, I'm going to update every Tuesday)? Tell me in the comments! Hey Everybody! So I listen to TONS and TONS of Songs to get me in the mood to write. Most of them are instrumental, but some of them have words, and they are my favorite. XD Hope you like them. Ryan Stewart - Summer IS BEAUTIFUL! I just love his songs. Which one do you like the most? Do you listen to music when writing? What songs do you like to listen too on a daily basis? Tell me in the comments!
BTW, soon, I'll be showing you my book cover for a NEW book I'm writing. Can't wait to tell you! ~Bianca Hey Everybody! This is a ONCE AND A LIFETIME MOMENT FOR ME. I'm going to show you my Book Cover. It's not my OFFICIAL book cover and this may not be my official book summary, but it's the one I have up for YWP NaNoWriMo.
Please know that this took a long time to do, (finding the picture took the longest though) and trying to make it they way it looks now was hard work too, so please do not take and claim it as your own. And the summary may have taken me a few minutes to do, but still, please do not take it and claim it as your own.
So how do you like it? Tell me in the comments! Thanks! ~Bianca |
I am the Smol Scribble. I came to realize that, even though the first drafts of books aren't perfect, they are the closest to my heart...
