I woke up earlier than everybody else (except my dad), so I didn't know what to do. Being as bored as I was, I went to the Google homepage and scrolled over the "I'm Feeling Lucky". It rolled and it stopped at "I'm Feeling Generous". I clicked on it and was surprised at what I saw.
Here is the link: One Today (I couldn't get the picture.. Sorry 'bout that)
Nepal Earthquake: Clean Water Initiative
- United States Fund for UNICEF $1 = 157 water purification tablets. GIVE (This links back to the same site as the "One Today" I posted above.)
The UNICEF is the United Nations Children Fund. I think it's really cool that they are doing this! So far, 1775 people have raised $7,506. That's 1,178,442 water purification tablets. That's a lot of purification tablets, but I'm positive that more can be given and more people helped. Sure, Nepal is all the way over in Asia, but that shouldn't stop us from helping those in need. Those helping numbers are growing by the minute, so I can't really give you the exact number.
I'm not really sure how the donation process works. I'm really sorry I can't deliver that information to you. But please, go help those in need, locally or internationally. Just a little act of service can make a huge difference in others. So why wait to make a difference?
