My Leadership class wanted a creative multimedia presentation on the things that inspires me and I was super pumped to do this! I wanted to blog more and this matches exactly what I like to put in Inspiring Art, anyways. So what inspires me? There are many, many ways to answer that question, but that makes it all the better! Bianca is doing what inspires her on the main channel, so go check hers out! What Inspires Me - Bianca Now let's begin! Art More often than not I'm inspired by others artwork. They are showing their perspective on life, their characters, how they hear their music, etc. What's not to be inspired by that! It's something working inside of you that makes you connected to the artwork that you're viewing. It's kind of hard to explain, so let me try to use an analogy. We all like fuzzy soft things (this is a fact :P). So let's say that you found this really soft and fuzzy blanket that was in your favorite color in the store. It's the softest thing you ever touched and it fills you with some inexpiable, overwhelming emotion of happiness. When I see others artwork, I feel that inexplicable emotion, but it's not just limited to happiness. It the emotion and feelings that they put into it. Music 50% of the time when I draw, I was inspired by music. The escape into the different world allows you to see a fully developed universe with emotional characters that differ with the listener. Also, if I don't see that universe, I see a wonderful explosions and patterns of light, that match with the beats and the notes of the song. This gives me both the energy and the creative inspiration to draw a piece that is centered from the story and world that I had just heard or "seen". Movies and Shows It's kind of obvious to be inspired by something that has already been fully thought out. Though it gives me the opportunity to fan art that world and those characters, it also inspires me to develop worlds that are my own. This then gives me a "few" (too many) ideas for books. Books Books are the written version of visual art. It gives you so many emotions, so many experiences and you get captured by it all. Also because most books don't have pictures, it allows the mind to conjure what the characters and the world looks like. Not only do these books transport me, they inspire me to create my own books. To create my own worlds. My own characters. Everything. It's a power and responsibility that is indescribable. Nature I've always been inspired by nature. I was always attached to it from... the very beginning actually. I've always loved it. It just seemed to be a part of me. So as I go about my life, I use my inspiration from nature and add it into my artwork. It doesn't appear all the time, but that's because I'm inspired by something else for that particular piece. Photography Photography has greatly inspired me too. Why did the photographer choose this specific angle? Why did they choose to edit this picture like this? So many other questions race through my head as I observe the picture. I'm looking at the world that the photographer wanted his audience to see. It's a very curious thing, but refreshing. As I ask myself those questions, I get inspired on new worlds or characters that I should create. As you can see, I'm constantly inspired by everything. It's great, but it doesn't help when I'm trying to do something important and a burst of creativity screams at me saying, "Draw this!" or "Write this!" -_- It's a very interesting life to live but very rewarding though! We are all inspired by something... So... What inspires you?
