One of THE hardest things to obtain
It's basically your identity in the form of your art. For almost every artist that I follow (and I follow quite a few), I can pinpoint who drew it, state their username, and identify what stood out to me. Sometimes it's the coloring. Sometimes it's the way that they draw their eyes. Other times, they have a uniquely different art style that I've NEVER in my whole life seen before, which is pretty cool. I'm always fascinated by how people obtain their art style and I constantly wonder when I'll get mine. But ONE THING keeps with me as I think about it: They Practiced. They didn't just sit around waiting for it to come to them. Oh no. They experimented with their design. What DIDN'T feel comfortable for them. They went outside of their comfort zone trying to explore the other possibilities that were out there. They were willing to do something and everything different. So go out there. Do something different. Experiment. But most of all: PRACTICE. P.R.A.C.T.I.C.E. It is important. But you know what is MORE important than practicing? Enjoying it. Loving what you do. That's SUPER important everybody. If you don't love it, if you don't enjoy, then why are you putting time into it? Feel that want, that desire, to do it. Especially if it's something that you love or want to love. It is no use if you think of it as another grudging job. From the artists that I follow, when they're tired with drawing or once they start to feel as if it was becoming another job, then they take a break. They either stop drawing just to let their mind relax and they enjoy life and other joys that they have or they start drawing what they love, like fanart or personal projects that they neglected to do commissions ('cause they they need the money). This is necessary to feel that love and desire again. Yeah peeps can't burn yourselves out. It's bad. You want that burn to drive you to finish things. Anyways, this kinda (a lot, actually) veered off topic, but the moral of this story is DO WHAT YOU LOVE. PRACTICE. AND TAKE BREAKS. I'll always be rooting for you!
