Hello Everybody!
As you can tell by the title, I'm going to be talking about learning languages and the language I'm learning: Spanish. I love Spanish. I love it when people speak it, how they speak it fluently and I had an instantly great thought. What if I could master Spanish in a week? Oh how wrong I was to even think of such an idea.... I can read a bit of Spanish now, but I still don't know how to speak it. Rosetta Stone is suppose to help, but yeah... I really don't like it. But that's my opinion. Charisma loves Rosetta Stone but doesn't like Duolingo. I love Duolingo and I don't like Rosetta Stone. Funny, right? Sometimes I just want to say, 'Let me learn a different language! It'll be easier." Yeah, no it won't be easier. It's going to be the same kind of difficult, but the same kind of fun. (The other language I want to learn is Japanese. For some reason, I feel as if it's going to be a bit harder...) Okay, now I'm going to give you a bit of Spanish that I've got to learn on a normal basis. (Spanish is to the left, English is to the right)
¿Qué hora es? = What time is it? ¿A qué hora? = (At) what time? de la mañana = in the morning de la tarde = in the afternoon de la noche = at night ahora = now ahora mismo = right now Es la una = It is one o'clock A la una = at one o'clock Son las dos = It is two o'clock A las dos = at two o'clock la hora = hour el minuto = minute el segundo = second
Buenos dias = Good Morning Buenas tardes = Good Afternoon Buenas noches = Good Night Hola = Hello Adios = Goodbye ¿Cómo está? = How are you? Muy bien = Very Good Me llamo _____ = My name is ________ Mucho gusto = Nice to meet you Hasta luego = See you later Nos vemos = See you around See?! I've got to remember this and keep this entwined in my brain so that I won't forget. And the very sad part about it is that my Spanish course doesn't go over these things until the semester test. (But I'm not using Duolingo or Rosetta Stone.) So, the only way I can remember all of these is to look at my Spanish Notebook. And that's pretty much it. I'm trying to convince my mother to let me set up a Duolingo account... But I haven't gotten around to that part yet. Yet I shall try! (Huzzah!) That's all the time I've got for today everybody! Tell me in the comments what language you want to learn or you are learning! Thanks!
