Hello Twisters! Sorry for not posting last week. I work on Mondays (Thursdays and Saturdays) and I get really tired when I get back home. As a result, I almost immediately take a nap, then take it chill for the rest of the day. Also! Last week was a complete mesh of days. I had to constantly ask what day it was because time?? And dates?? What's that? Anyways! I'm writing this at midnight to ensure that it gets out on time. :) You're welcome. But during this pandemic, a lot of people are at home and some struggle to think of things to do other than binge Netflix (or any other video service), sleep or just vibe. Now, to be fair, this is what I do for the majority of the time, BUT!! I do a few other things as well! First off! As I like to draw, I've been trying to play around with my art skills. If you're interested in drawing, give it a shot! You've got a lot of time in the day right now. There are a lot of online workshops and videos that you can use to start your art journey! Next, you could start a YouTube channel! Lots of people are on there and it's a great way to show your hobby or work off to the world! You could play games, sit down and talk, do a craft, make a skit, etc.! There's so much that you can do for a YouTube video, it's honestly wild. Another thing you can do is to clean and switch up your room. Sure, that doesn't always sound like the best option right off the top, but hear me out. Cleaning and switching up your room is such a refreshing and satisfying task that it makes you feel super accomplished with your life when it's done. I don't know how, it just days. Not complaining though! Cook! Bake! Experiment in the kitchen! Follow some recipes! Learn how to not burn the house down when boiling water! It's really fun, but only fully works if you make something small and simple, then work your way up. Trust me, from personal experience, it gets really discouraging when you try for the really complicated one first go without previous experience. I tried to make a different version of hash browns. It did not work. But that's besides the point! You've got an imagination! You have some kind of tool/medium: a notebook, computer, your phone. Write! You don't have to go full out, "Let's write a novel!", but there's definitely time in the day to at least pump out 100 - 1000 words a day. If you're like me, you're lucky enough to get 500 words a day, but eh. Again, not the point. (If you need a support group to help you write, then I suggest popping over to NaNoWriMo! They've got a ton to offer when it comes to writing!) And the last one, but is SO SUPER IMPORTANT! Take this time to do as much self care as needed. I know this time is hard, so take this time to take a bath. Do some face masks. Body scrub. Paint your nails. Cut your hair. Refresh your closet. Do the things that make you happy. Do the things that allow you to breathe in a deep breath like you've just inhaled some nice filtered air. Yes, I do like that. And yes, it smells nice. Okay! That's all I've got for you all today. Or tonight. Whichever it is, I suppose. I'm off to bed now, to sleep. Because, as I said earlier, I work on Mondays, so I work in a few hours. Catch ya later, Twisters! P.S. The shop is coming along nicely! It isn't without a few bumps, but that's to be expected. I'll probably give a more in-depth update in my next blog post! Charisma

こんにちは!
Guess who's back! It's us! Or, me rather. I apologize for not writing for such a long time. I've been consumed with school, writing (preparing for Camp NaNoWriMo!), and I'm an assistant at a Summer Art Camp which runs for eight (8) consecutive weeks, five days a week, from nine (9 am) in the morning to twelve (12 pm) in the afternoon. *sigh* I've been busy. Okay, let's go down the list and explain:
Welcome (I guess) to my busy, busy summer! I missed blogging. Oh, yeah! Before I forget, Charisma and I have Instagram accounts... So, check them out! I guess by now everyone is wondering why we don't post everyday. The reason why is because we're either doing school, reading, listening to music, or checking out cool blogs. And now, I am ready to present some of the blogs we just love to look at!
I'm sure I've missed plenty of blogs, but that's all I can remember at this current moment in time. I hope all of you enjoyed looking/reading about all the blogs that me and my sister love and we hope that you enjoy them too! What blogs do you like? Come on and tell us in the comments! Also, I asked my mother my mother if she would mind if Charisma and I did giveaway's in the future and she said that she wouldn't mind if we did that. So keep your eyes peeled for a giveaway. Okay, this post was meant for YESTERDAY, but I didn't get around to posting it. So use your imagination and pretend it's yesterday.... Until reality hits you saying 'You can't travel back in time...'.
It's the last day of September, everyone! Can you believe that? This month was so exhilarating (I got to find out who the 2016 keynote speakers are going to be for Teen Author Boot Camp... Ya wanna know?). In school, I have good grades (I have an A in everything. And if you think about it, we only have 8 more months of school...) and blogging has been going fantastically (we've had 993 views in ONE day!). I don't know about you, but September was a great month. I've been finding new animes to watch (like Pripara! Oh my goodness, I can't wait to watch it...), trying to find a reliable source to find out Japanese culture (if you want to learn a language... Learn the culture!), and I'm stocking up on my Spanish (my mother said if I wanted to learn Japanese during the next school year, then we had to keep up with our Spanish. I still love Spanish. :3). Oh! And I'm trying to get ready for NaNoWriMo! It's NaNo Prep season, so I gotta be prepping myself. ;D *SIGH* Life is full of blessings if you take the time to look for them. Well, I must be off to go and get school finished! Thanks everyone for reading our blog! If you want to share this blog post (and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account) there is a share button at the bottom of each of the posts. If you don't have a a Facebook or Twitter account, then just keep on being the lovely people you are. :3 Bianca Hello viewers! Readers? Blogger friends? I'm not sure what to do... :3 Anyways, because I haven't posted ANYTHING this week, I'm going to do a blog post on what's happened this week that I could've done a post on. And we may begin!
And some more exciting news..... :D I'm so happy! :3 Isn't the cover just magnificent?!?!?! I love it! So if you click on the picture, then it'll take you to Sarah Prineas's author site. The link will be on the description of the book.
So (with my understanding) this is going to be her first YA novel. I'm so excited to read it! The cover is just gorgeous, the font is unbelievable and the dress and shoes are really pretty (but the back of the dress could be less... revealing). Yeah, that's the exciting news. :3 So! Tell me (or us...) in the comments what your favorite holiday (or random day; ex: hat day, dog day, etc.) is, what your favorite YA fairy-tale novel is, and/or what your favorite season is! Charisma Yup! Camp NaNoWriMo is here! Or... well, it's been here since the beginning of July, but still. You can still jump into it and start writing your story! :3 What's Camp NaNoWriMo you ask? I'll copy it from the 'About' page from Camp NaNoWriMo: "National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. Participants work toward the goal of writing a 50,000-word draft during the month of November. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel. Camp NaNoWriMo is a more open-ended version of our original November event. We have Camp sessions in both April and July, and we welcome word-count goals between 10,000 and 1,000,000. In addition, writers may attempt non-novel projects. Camp is a creative retreat for whatever you’re working on! National Novel Writing Month is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that believes your story matters. You know how writing makes the world a more creative, vibrant place. Through NaNoWriMo, Camp NaNoWriMo, and the Young Writers Program, we work hard to empower and encourage that vibrant creativity. And, we can’t do it without writers like you." So there you have it! Awesome right? I think it's super cool and I really want to do it!
Tell me in the comments what you like about NaNoWriMo! Charisma
I absolutely LOVED TABC!!!!! I had the best time meeting all those authors and taking notes on those amazing classes! --> Head over to My Writing Journey by Bianca so you can see what classes she took!
I hope that we can go next year!!! I can't wait to find out which Keynote speakers are going to be there next year!! This year it was Brandon Sanderson and Jessica Day George! :D They both are so awesome!!! I also plan to do Camp NaNoWriMo! <-- Click on Camp NaNoWriMo to get you to the site... If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there are all these white words. If you look, the first word on the top line is "About". Click on that to find out more on Camp NaNoWriMo. I hope I can do Camp NaNoWriMo, and if not this month, then I want to do it in June (it says that at the "About" page)! Are you excited for anything? Tell us in the comments! People. If I had a Facebook Account I would LOVE it. (I actually want a Pinterest account more though...) But back to Facebook.
Facebook's abbreviation is 'FB' or 'fb', either one. I'm pretty sure it has over a million people on Facebook and is growing by the day. Everyone becomes addicted to Facebook because of numerous things. Here are some examples:
Those are some examples that I just literally just made up in my head. I honestly doubt they're true... except the second one. My mother did that once. It was pretty funny actually. But back to the point. WHAT WOULD I DO IF I HAD A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT?! Literally what would I do? Well, I'm going to tell you.
Do YOU have a Facebook account? What do you do on it? Tell us in the comments! Thanks! NaNoWriMo NaNoWriMo. Events like National Novel Writing Month are great to pump out a lot of words in a short amount of time. (NaNoWriMo is a challenge to write 50,000 words during the month of November. There is a teen track here: Young Writer’s Program as well as Camp NaNoWriMo in select other months.) That is NaNoWriMo! I would like to participate in it, but I've got to ask for permission, but it still sounds awesome!
Thanks and please comment! ~Bianca |
