Looking around at authors blogs (I find it a very convenient thing to do when you have nothing to do... Or don't want to do anything...) and I found this link to a website called: http://bookreviewsandgiveaways.org/ Pretty sweet right? But it gets even better. If you scroll down a little bit on the site, you find this beauty. And if you look at the bottom right hand corner, you see someones signature and below their name it says 'Photography'. I immediately thought, "Whoa, that's a REAL place?" after staring at it for hours on end (a.k.a. a minute).
It is truly beautiful. (BTW, this isn't the end of the post! there is a 'Read More' very close to this sentence. It is to the right and slightly to the bottom!)

New? Start here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.
"No one pretended to care," a strange man said. "No one even tried to look for them." I hung upside down with Destiny hanging beside me. I despised the Shadow. He didn't take things lightly, so when he found us in Gotham City doing nothing, he attacked us from behind and started to monologue our whole story. Or what he thought was our story. "As they hung upside down in the Shadow's Pit, a knock was detected," he said. And, like he planned everything, we heard a knock. "Come in son," he whispered quietly. Apparently, Shadow's son heard him and came through the invisible door. I couldn't see him in the dark, but when he stepped into the little light we had, he seemed to be a couple years older than me. Shadow took his son by the arm and lead him back into the darkness, perhaps talking about another scheme. "Sahara, I can get out of this chain, but I need you to swing me," Destiny softly said. "Okay," I replied. "When you get out, I need you to run from Shadow's Pit as fast as you can and go to Phillip in Smallville." "I can't just leave you here!" she answered. "We don't have to discuss this," I told her. "I'll be okay. I promise." She nodded her head and I struggled to push myself to her. Once I finished clanking my chains into hers, she slipped out. Catlike, she did a back-flip and landed perfectly into the darkness. I felt her glance at me one more time before running off. If you are new to the Nex Gen Justice League here are the past entries: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5. Batboy's Point of view "Smallville.... Smallville, we had to have Smallville," a boy said. His red hair was pulled back into a small ponytail and his blue eyes were shimmering under his white mask. "Be quiet! Everyone--listen," I instructed. Immediately everyone became quiet, and the noise came again, but a bit louder. SCREEEEEEE! "What is that?" Robin asked. "I'm not sure. Maxim, record the sound and send it to Batgirl," I whispered to the red head. As he nodded the sound came again. Robin covered his ears and started to wince. "You okay?" I grew concerned. Robin was one of our best men when it came to battle. He nodded, "Yeah, its just that, the sound. Its vibrating in my head." "Batgirl isn't responding," Maxim replied. I turned around just in time to see a tall figure come right behind Maxim. "MAX! Behind you!" I screamed. The tall dark figure grasped his arms around him and vanished. Only leaving Max's mask on the ground. I will only be posting Nex Gen Justice League twice a month. On every second and fourth Friday. I've got a lot of explaining to do. Since I've been really busy, I've decided that I have to move the Nex Gen Justice League to ever 2 weeks. So in March, I'll do it the second and forth week.
The reason that I didn't post anything last week and a few days this week was because I didn't have anything to post about and because I had allergies (which AREN'T fun... at all). I was able to one word war (and I was able to get 173 words in ten minutes... Go me!) and that's about it. Other than that, on Saturday (two days ago) I was watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars with my sisters and my dad came in with a package. He handed me the package and said, "It's for you." Then, I immediately screamed. It was the package. The package I had been waiting for. I had won Jill Williamson's book contest on her blog and I got the book, 'Go Teen Writers'. I started reading it and I just LOVE it. Hmm... And that's it! I'll be posting tomorrow and that's a promise! Writing a book is fairly easy. Gathering ideas for books is easy too. But writing a story from beginning to end is another story. There are constant obstacles in your way. School is one of them, then there are outing/events, and then there is writers block.
I had so much writers block that I put away my story for two months. I could be half way through the book know if I had some idea what I was going too write. And, I could have already decided if I wanted too add another character to be essential to the book. But, I had to wait. I had to let my brain rest. Yet, there was a little part of me (hehe... I say little... I really mean gigantic part of me) really wanted to go back to writing. I wanted to just keep on writing. There were so many things that I wanted to write in my book. Yet, I was constantly stopped because of a fear that if I did this thing in my book, then it would go another way and make my book come to an end. And I didn't want to make this book into a series. That's what Ebinicah James series is for. Not this book. Writing may be a challenge. But it leaves you breathless when you've finished your masterpiece. Okie dokie, now it's time for Nex Gen Justice League. If you're new to this, here are all the parts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4. "Welcome, welcome," A strange voice cried out. I shook myself awake to see the Mad Hatter, and his father, the Card Dealer, staring right in front of me. "Glad you've awoken," the Card Dealer said. "Umm... I'm not," I replied looking around. The whole entire place was a dump. The ground looked like mud was caked all over the floor, the ceilings were dripping green goop and the furniture was crashed all over the floor. "Why? Do you not like our humble home?" Mad Hatter pretended to look hurt but just laughed it off. "Uh, wouldn't it have been much easier and nicer for you two to settle in a Casino?" I asked. The two looked at each other, apparently not thinking about such a thing. "That isn't the point, the New Generation of the Light shall break down your barriers," the Card Dealer declared. New Generation of the Light? Breaking down our barriers? What did he mean by all of that? "Yo-you're not trying to get...," I froze in mid-sentence. "You are correct my dear, if we reach the graves of your beloved grandparents, we can make an army of your great superheroes and restore the great Savage!" the Card Deal exclaimed. "Spray her." The Mad Hatter came up to me, having an apologetic look on his face and sprayed me with purple gas from a flower. The Mind-Washing Gas. Thanks everybody! And stay in tune for next weeks!
Gotta make this quick.... Cause I'm packing to leave to TABC... My bones are trembling, my heart is pounding, and I really just want to sleep cause I'm way tired..
BUT I AM STILL EXCITED FOR TABC! Can't wait! Oh! And btw, I'm not bring my computer so this might be the last TABC count-down for this week. Sorry! And I might not be able to do the Fan fiction story this week either...
I've only got 6 more days! Yeah... I really need to stop stressing myself out. I've got my outfit planned, I've got my schedule in check, I know what I going to bring to entertain myself while me and my family drive to TABC and I'm SUPER EXCITED.
(I say 'super excited' in every TABC Count-Down... Don't I?) But anywho... Today is a day that I must tell you EARTH SHATTERING NEWS... I will only be posting Nex Gen Justice League once a week now, not twice. The reason I'm doing this is because I have WAAAYYY to much on my hands to handle at this current moment in time. But when summer rolls around, I will be very very very happy to start doing it twice again. :3
*GASP*
The tension is rising, the day is coming closer, my outfit is still not pre-HEY! I know what I'm going to where for TABC! Yes...! I FINALLY KNOW! Wow... I can't believe that I only had 8 days left till TABC and I finally thought of it... That was super bad on my part. Okay, anyway, as you all know, not only have I finished picking out my writing schedule, I have been saving up for a tablet (which the deal ends in 10 days). It's hard saving up, but I'm doing it! If your new to Nex Gen Justice League, here is Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. This is from Batgirl's point-of-view, new perspective... Right? Me and my team had left to Gotham City finding nothing suspision there. What could possible be happening? "Girls, scout out the area in teams of two and search of any types of trouble and report back here in two hours," I said and left with Fate's grand-daughter, Destiny. Destiny and I took East street to see everything perfectly in order. Nothing was causing chaos. "Hey Batgirl," Destiny suddenly said. "Hmm?" I asked, her voice sounded worried. "Where is everyone? All the windows are closed and there's no one on the street," she replied. I looked around and she was right. No living thing was anywhere, but us. We're friends with the Geno-morphs so they couldn't be doing any of this. But, who could? "Call the others immediately... We shouldn't have split up!" I cried. While Destiny called the other team members, I looked at my watch seeing that two hours had already passed. But how is that possible, we've only take 30 steps from our meeting area and we've only been talking for two minutes if that. "Batgirl, none of them are answering," Destiny said. "Should we go looking for them?" "I'm not sure..." I answered back. Could the Clock King's nephew be up to this or is a much bigger threat at hand? Wait till Monday to get your answer! :3 Thanks and please comment!
I can't believe we only have 9 days left till TABC. It's crazy! And Camp NaNoWriMo already started, questions are still being asked on the TABC site. I've pretty much ready to go other than packing clothing. I've got my writing supplies and my writing schedule (with my writer's outfit). :3 I'm stocking up on writing quotes and I'm still trying to get that tablet! (It goes away in eleven days. D:)
But anywho, I still an't wait for TABC! I'm watching a ton of Star Wars to get me hyper and excited (THANK YOU GEORGE LUCAS). And I've been finding very pretty journals that I could use for writing.
Pretty right? I love both of them, but I think I like the left one a bit more... Just a bit. But so far that's my day!
Tomorrow, I will be posting the Nex Gen Justice League (NGJL) along with the count-down. Somewhere this week, I will be posting character bio summaries and maybe interviews. And go check out Go Teen Writers! Thanks! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF APRIL!
Yup! It's the first day of April! I know right, it just flew by. But in four days... Something other than TABC is happening. I'll tell you guys on Saturday.
>:3 Okay, so for TABC, as you all now, is on April 11th. Yeah, yeah... I know. I'm still skipping a Sunday (and I AM including this day). I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S SO CLOSE! BTW, I'm still working to get me that writing tablet... I will get it. :3 And I might be doing NaNoWriMo! I just need to ask my parents first. :D I'm going to be posting the Nex Gen Justice League story on Friday since I didn't do it Monday (again sorry about that!) So stay in tune (with the force... *cough cough*). |
I am the Smol Scribble. I came to realize that, even though the first drafts of books aren't perfect, they are the closest to my heart...
