Forgive me for not doing the Authors' Series. The only reason I haven't posted anything for such a long time is because I haven't been onto the blog for quite some time (and my Spring Break was last week). I'll be restarting the series somewhere between next week and the week of April 4th.
Recently, my mother showed me a video on how a girl (I think she's 13?) made her own company, made her own animation show and did a lot of other things and she's still going to school and having a normal life. I thought that was very inspiring and that made me think: why not make my own animation show? I haven't been writing a lot and I do want to get back into the flow of being a writer, but I don't want to write a full length novel. And I thought that it might be easier to just write an episode a time (not only would the plot be more interesting, it wouldn't be as hard). I know that writing an episode would be a bit difficult for me, yet I'm willing to try!

Looking around at authors blogs (I find it a very convenient thing to do when you have nothing to do... Or don't want to do anything...) and I found this link to a website called: http://bookreviewsandgiveaways.org/ Pretty sweet right? But it gets even better. If you scroll down a little bit on the site, you find this beauty. And if you look at the bottom right hand corner, you see someones signature and below their name it says 'Photography'. I immediately thought, "Whoa, that's a REAL place?" after staring at it for hours on end (a.k.a. a minute).
It is truly beautiful. (BTW, this isn't the end of the post! there is a 'Read More' very close to this sentence. It is to the right and slightly to the bottom!) Hi everybody! As you know, I am currently in the process of writing my 'New Book'. And, my main character's name is McKenna. But, I need help figuring out two more girl names. Below are the two options for the names. Please tell me which soundsare the best!
Thank you for picking (assuming that you did... You did right?), in the near future I will be revealing what the names are for.... Or I can just tell you know. The 'New Book' is kind of part of a series, but the cool/weird thing about it is that they will be only SLIGHTLY related. They will have hints that they connect, but other than that, they are all on their own. Personally, I am super excited about this! I've never done anything like this. Actually, I've never completed a book before, so this is all going to be crazy new for me. Gah, I'm so excited. :3 Now, I have to change my writing schedule to fit in with school, and that's going to be crazier. Although it does have its perks. This is the music I get to listen to when writing. Awesome right? And this is only one of them. (I love the Vocaloids). So while I'm jamming out to this music, I get to write hundreds of words for my book. And my word count is 6,956! Ah, I'm so proud of that. :D
Everyone have a great last few days of summer! New? Start here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.
"No one pretended to care," a strange man said. "No one even tried to look for them." I hung upside down with Destiny hanging beside me. I despised the Shadow. He didn't take things lightly, so when he found us in Gotham City doing nothing, he attacked us from behind and started to monologue our whole story. Or what he thought was our story. "As they hung upside down in the Shadow's Pit, a knock was detected," he said. And, like he planned everything, we heard a knock. "Come in son," he whispered quietly. Apparently, Shadow's son heard him and came through the invisible door. I couldn't see him in the dark, but when he stepped into the little light we had, he seemed to be a couple years older than me. Shadow took his son by the arm and lead him back into the darkness, perhaps talking about another scheme. "Sahara, I can get out of this chain, but I need you to swing me," Destiny softly said. "Okay," I replied. "When you get out, I need you to run from Shadow's Pit as fast as you can and go to Phillip in Smallville." "I can't just leave you here!" she answered. "We don't have to discuss this," I told her. "I'll be okay. I promise." She nodded her head and I struggled to push myself to her. Once I finished clanking my chains into hers, she slipped out. Catlike, she did a back-flip and landed perfectly into the darkness. I felt her glance at me one more time before running off. If you are new to the Nex Gen Justice League here are the past entries: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5. Batboy's Point of view "Smallville.... Smallville, we had to have Smallville," a boy said. His red hair was pulled back into a small ponytail and his blue eyes were shimmering under his white mask. "Be quiet! Everyone--listen," I instructed. Immediately everyone became quiet, and the noise came again, but a bit louder. SCREEEEEEE! "What is that?" Robin asked. "I'm not sure. Maxim, record the sound and send it to Batgirl," I whispered to the red head. As he nodded the sound came again. Robin covered his ears and started to wince. "You okay?" I grew concerned. Robin was one of our best men when it came to battle. He nodded, "Yeah, its just that, the sound. Its vibrating in my head." "Batgirl isn't responding," Maxim replied. I turned around just in time to see a tall figure come right behind Maxim. "MAX! Behind you!" I screamed. The tall dark figure grasped his arms around him and vanished. Only leaving Max's mask on the ground. I will only be posting Nex Gen Justice League twice a month. On every second and fourth Friday. Writing a book is fairly easy. Gathering ideas for books is easy too. But writing a story from beginning to end is another story. There are constant obstacles in your way. School is one of them, then there are outing/events, and then there is writers block.
I had so much writers block that I put away my story for two months. I could be half way through the book know if I had some idea what I was going too write. And, I could have already decided if I wanted too add another character to be essential to the book. But, I had to wait. I had to let my brain rest. Yet, there was a little part of me (hehe... I say little... I really mean gigantic part of me) really wanted to go back to writing. I wanted to just keep on writing. There were so many things that I wanted to write in my book. Yet, I was constantly stopped because of a fear that if I did this thing in my book, then it would go another way and make my book come to an end. And I didn't want to make this book into a series. That's what Ebinicah James series is for. Not this book. Writing may be a challenge. But it leaves you breathless when you've finished your masterpiece. Okie dokie, now it's time for Nex Gen Justice League. If you're new to this, here are all the parts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4. "Welcome, welcome," A strange voice cried out. I shook myself awake to see the Mad Hatter, and his father, the Card Dealer, staring right in front of me. "Glad you've awoken," the Card Dealer said. "Umm... I'm not," I replied looking around. The whole entire place was a dump. The ground looked like mud was caked all over the floor, the ceilings were dripping green goop and the furniture was crashed all over the floor. "Why? Do you not like our humble home?" Mad Hatter pretended to look hurt but just laughed it off. "Uh, wouldn't it have been much easier and nicer for you two to settle in a Casino?" I asked. The two looked at each other, apparently not thinking about such a thing. "That isn't the point, the New Generation of the Light shall break down your barriers," the Card Dealer declared. New Generation of the Light? Breaking down our barriers? What did he mean by all of that? "Yo-you're not trying to get...," I froze in mid-sentence. "You are correct my dear, if we reach the graves of your beloved grandparents, we can make an army of your great superheroes and restore the great Savage!" the Card Deal exclaimed. "Spray her." The Mad Hatter came up to me, having an apologetic look on his face and sprayed me with purple gas from a flower. The Mind-Washing Gas. Thanks everybody! And stay in tune for next weeks!
Let me sum this up in three-ish words....

It was literally the best day of my life. (it was even better than Christmas!) When I went to my first class (Map Making 101 by Jill Williamson) I REALLY wanted to scream because I was meeting one of the Go Teen Writers authors. It was the best class EVER. My next class was Villains We Love To Hate. It was very informational and I got tons of ideas for a villain(s). :D My next class (after lunch of course) was Favorite Books and How They Inspire Your Writing. It was really good. Like really. After that class was The Art of Inspiration and Thievery. If I had to say awesome 10 times. I would. Natalie Whipple draws manga, writes books, AND is a great artist. It was amazing! Then, my next class was What the Crap is Voice? I need to get me some of that by Margie Jordan. Man, I could listen to her talk for hours and think of nothing but writing. It was the best. And after that I did I Want to be Published! I learned so much stuff in there that I am no debating whether or not I should do self-publishing or publishing (there is a difference). Everyone in my family (except Charisma) says I should take the self-publishing route. But I'm still thinking about it. Okay, after that everybody came back to the Ballroom and watched these amazing performers do an interpretative dance for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy. If I could take any dance class, I would go find those performers and tell them I want to be just like them. Because, I am not joking, you wish you could see it THOUSANDS of times. It was WAAAYY better than EPIC. After Brandon Sanderson's Keynote, it was the First Chapter Contest winners. I had entered and I expected to win to be one of the ten runner ups... but nope. I didn't win. It was sad... But that encourages me more to do better next year! :3 And at the very beginning of TABC, they showed a video called 'I'm Reading A Book'... IT WAS HILARIOUS! Here you go! :D
hehehe... I love that. :3 SO after that, it was the TEEN AUTHOR BOOT CAMP AUTHOR BOOK SIGNING! I jumped up and ran to Jill Williamson's booth and asked her to sign my TABC tee-shirt (because I wasn't wearing it). She signed it, and, after I said thank you, ran to the rest of the authors asking them to do the same thing. GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!
THANK YOU TEEN AUTHOR BOOT CAMP FOR EXISTING!
*GASP*
The tension is rising, the day is coming closer, my outfit is still not pre-HEY! I know what I'm going to where for TABC! Yes...! I FINALLY KNOW! Wow... I can't believe that I only had 8 days left till TABC and I finally thought of it... That was super bad on my part. Okay, anyway, as you all know, not only have I finished picking out my writing schedule, I have been saving up for a tablet (which the deal ends in 10 days). It's hard saving up, but I'm doing it! If your new to Nex Gen Justice League, here is Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. This is from Batgirl's point-of-view, new perspective... Right? Me and my team had left to Gotham City finding nothing suspision there. What could possible be happening? "Girls, scout out the area in teams of two and search of any types of trouble and report back here in two hours," I said and left with Fate's grand-daughter, Destiny. Destiny and I took East street to see everything perfectly in order. Nothing was causing chaos. "Hey Batgirl," Destiny suddenly said. "Hmm?" I asked, her voice sounded worried. "Where is everyone? All the windows are closed and there's no one on the street," she replied. I looked around and she was right. No living thing was anywhere, but us. We're friends with the Geno-morphs so they couldn't be doing any of this. But, who could? "Call the others immediately... We shouldn't have split up!" I cried. While Destiny called the other team members, I looked at my watch seeing that two hours had already passed. But how is that possible, we've only take 30 steps from our meeting area and we've only been talking for two minutes if that. "Batgirl, none of them are answering," Destiny said. "Should we go looking for them?" "I'm not sure..." I answered back. Could the Clock King's nephew be up to this or is a much bigger threat at hand? Wait till Monday to get your answer! :3 Thanks and please comment! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF APRIL!
Yup! It's the first day of April! I know right, it just flew by. But in four days... Something other than TABC is happening. I'll tell you guys on Saturday.
>:3 Okay, so for TABC, as you all now, is on April 11th. Yeah, yeah... I know. I'm still skipping a Sunday (and I AM including this day). I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S SO CLOSE! BTW, I'm still working to get me that writing tablet... I will get it. :3 And I might be doing NaNoWriMo! I just need to ask my parents first. :D I'm going to be posting the Nex Gen Justice League story on Friday since I didn't do it Monday (again sorry about that!) So stay in tune (with the force... *cough cough*).
Only two more weeks till TABC guys! I'm so excited!
-_- I still don't have my outfit plan... I just need one more thing.... But ANYWHO. Today is the NEW BOOK sneak-peak! Are you guys ready?
Okay, so my book is about the moon. I chose the moon because it's so mystical and you can do so much with it. I have three main characters. McKenna, May, and McKenna's mother. Awesome right? I even have the title! I would tell you more, but I want to leave it as a surprise. Sorry!
But what I can tell you is that I entered this book for the First Chapter Contest for TABC! And this was actually the book that my mother said that I had the imagination of George Lucas for. (George Lucas is George Lucas... He's name is pure awesomeness.) So yeah! Thanks everybody for reading! I'm really excited for TABC! |
I am the Smol Scribble. I came to realize that, even though the first drafts of books aren't perfect, they are the closest to my heart...
