I was bored one day (this was a while ago) and ended up looking around Tokyo Otaku Mode News (which is such a super awesome place; go check it out!). As I was scrolling down and looking through all of their posts, something caught my eye. Japanese Titles of English Movies Aren't Always What They Seem to BeMe, being quite curious, clicked on it and watched the video. I was not prepared for any of it. None of it. It truly was unexpected. Don't believe me? Here's the video and go see for yourself! :) There are no bad words. Just if you're wondering.
Wasn't that completely unexpected, yet hilarious all at the same time? This made me laugh so hard when I watched it! I didn't know that people could be that unique re-naming movies. Seriously. No idea. Well, hopefully this little post made you either laugh of smile! Tell us in the comments what you're favorite Japanese title was! :P

Today, I'm going to tackle something you all might be wonder what it might be. On the post "The Best OTPs" (OTP = One True Pair) that Bianca did, she covered a lot of show OTPs. One of these shows was Miraculous Ladybug. Now, before I tell you what it is, we're going to have a little history lesson! :3 Just because history is fun. ;P But to warn you all, there are spoilers in this post. Some are pretty decent spoilers, and some are just eh, but still. They're spoilers. Just to let you all know. :3 But with that, we can continue. How We Discovered Miraculous Ladybug Bianca was browsing this person's YouTube channel looking for some how-to videos for manga, and she stumbled upon a speed-paint drawing of Ladybug from Miraculous Ladybug. Intrigued, she started watching it. Now, Bianca and I sit right next to each other on this little table, so we see what each other is doing. (I don't know why we do so, because there's a long table right next to us. I guess the small table is more cozy...) So, I turned to look at her computer screen because I saw movement, and I saw the speed-paint of this really cute character. I asked Bianca what she was watching, and she answered she was watching some person draw Ladybug from this show called Miraculous Ladybug. Another thing you should know, I have a very, very weak spot for anime's/manga's. So if I see any drawing or book or show that is in any way close to the Japanese art style, I go search for it. This speed-paint was, in fact, being drawn in an manga-looking way, so I searched what Ladybug was. There was a Google description, and I was looking at the pictures. I scrolled down and saw that there was a trailer for the show, so I watched it. Here it is:
So here's the video/trailer thing that we watched. I was really interested in the characters. It looked as if it had a good story-line and the animation was really well done. And after watching this, I instantly wanted to know more about Chat Noir (because he looked super cool in the trailer). So I searched for Chat Noir clip (clip meaning a clip-it from the show). I saw this blonde boy and was like, "I searched for Chat Noir, not this boy. Who is he and why is he blocking my search?" (This was obviously in the image section of Google.) (Little did I know that blonde boy was Chat Noir, just outside of his superhero outfit...) So I found this clip of the show where Chat Noir was looking for Ladybug and he had this super pressing matter he wanted to tell her. He had so much snazz and kindness it was kind of overwhelming for an introduction to the show. So I continued watching the clip. I'm not going to tell you what he was going to tell her, you all can just watch it yourselves (the episode was called "Dark Cupid"), but it was fabulous! .... .... NAH! I'm gonna spoil it so you all can feel what Bianca and I felt because IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! CHAT NOIR WAS GOING TO TELL LADYBUG THAT HE LOVED HER, THEN HE GOT SHOT BY ONE OF THOSE DARK CUPID ARROWS TO MAKE HIM DISLIKE LOVE. AND BECAUSE HE HAD A BURNING PASSION OF LOVE FOR LADYBUG, THOSE FEELINGS GOT TURNED INTO A BURNING PASSION OF HATE. O.O You can see why we freaked out and needed to find more on this show that suddenly just ripped our hearts our and stole them. W-we still haven't gotten them back. Hehe... And they celebrated their 1st Anniversary! It was on September 1st, so mark all you're calendars for next year (technically this year)! :3 Do you all know what Miraculous Ladybug is yet? OH! I forgot this one part that I wanted to tell you all about! The Troubling Love Square Because a love triangle just wasn't enough. So this love square is just one of the reasons why us Miraculer's (that's what the people of the fandom call themselves and I love it!) are so crazy about the show. There are 4 parts to the love square: Ladrien, Adrienette, Lady Noir, and Marichat. And to break it down even further so you all don't get confused.. (because I get confused. On a daily basis, just because Marichat keeps escaping my head!) *As time passes...* LOL, I'm trying to find a picture of the Love Square that isn't by some artist because I don't want to not credit them... WELP! Can't find anything, so I guess I'll just explain it... Hopefully it'll make sense, but pictures would be very helpful.
Miraculous Ladybug Plot Line Miraculous Ladybug is where these two heroes fight this evil mastermind called Hawkmoth (in the American/English version). He creates these akumas (white pure butterflies that he changes into dark butterflies) to influence someone who gone through a tough time and is vulnerable to that type of power. They are given a disguise and these abilities with one objective in mind (well, actually two, but we'll get to that in a sec): That Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous' (the thing that allows them to change into a superhero and grants them all those awesome abilities). Though the person doesn't do that because they see their personal needs come first before Hawkmoth's. So he doesn't get his wanted Miraculous' from the heroes. His intentions are still a mystery to everyone, but a lot of it is unmasked (heh, get it?) in the season finale, which was the origin stories of Miraculous Ladybug and how Adrien and Marinette came to be with those miraculous (heh, I'm all over the place with this stuff...) powers. And because Thomas, one of the show's creators (or the show's creator, I don't know), didn't want people to come into an episode and not know what was going on, ALL of the episodes are in a random order. So the Miraculous fandom/fan base had done it's best to unravel how the episodes are organized using hints and how Marinette and Adrien act towards each other to create a timeline. (Because believe or not, Marinette can actually talk to Adrien in a few episodes...) Anyways, this post is getting a bit long and I don't want to ruin anymore than I already have. Good for all of you who read through that random most inconsistent post I think I've ever done! I'm sorry you all had to suffer through that. :P And to just let you all know, the blog is still slightly under construction. We need to finish putting up the pictures (which isn't as easy as you might think). With school back in session, we might update less on the blog (not like we updated on a regular basis anyways), though I have a few blog posts that I can finish up that doesn't take as long. Well, have you seen this show? If so, what's your favorite part about the show? If not, are you interested in the show? Tell us in the comments! P.S. This blog post was done over a LOOOOT of months, which is one of the reasons for its inconsistency. So sorry 'bout that. Hopefully you can make it through this crazy mess of a blog. I'll try to update once a week to the blog in ALL sections, but I'm going to definitely try to do ONE post somewhere once a week. It was coming sooner or later. You must have all guessed it by the title, but today I am going to be talking about my favorite OTPs. EVER. Mytho + Rue = Rytho (Princess Tutu)(Mytho is pronouced Mew-toe, so they're shipped name would be: Ruto. :3) They are literally one of the cutest couples. The prince, Mytho, is cursed with a shattered heart and the young girl, Rue, is in love with the prince, yet is daughter to his enemy, the Raven King. But this match... Let's just say they had a very, very tough relationship (from the VERY beginning). Eugene Fitzherbert + Rapunzel = They Have No Shipped Name (Tangled) GAH, everytime I look at them I want to smile. I mean COME ON. Look at the way Flynn (Eugene) looks at Rapunzel. HE LOVES HER. Enough said there. Luminous + Lania = Luna (MapleStory) Although Nexon has never said if they were a real couple or if they were just friends or family, I don't care. I have a fanfictionous mind and I declare them a couple (they both deserve one another anyway...). Phantom + Aria = Phania (MapleStory) I couldn't find any pictures of Phantom and Aria (because they were either REALLY sad or REALLY sad), so that's all I could give you. So Phantom used to be a thief until he met the former Empress Aria. He then came to visit her very often on her balcony and I'm pretty sure they were going to marry... until she tragically passed away. So now, he fights along side the greatest heroes of MapleStory, not only to get revenge but because he knew Aria would want him too. (This whole entire paragraph was what I had gathered over the years soooo yes.) Age + Patema = Agema (Patema Inverse) So the whole plot of this movie is that there are two worlds. And they're both inverted. If one walks on the ground, the other floats in the air. Yes, it's complicated, BUT these two main characters break the boundaries of these two worlds. Best complicated movie ever. Marinette + Adrien = Marien or Adrienette |
