School, for me anyway, starts August 17th. Unbelievable right? We've had 3-ish months of summer and, to be honest, I am so glad to be going back to school. I've missed it really badly. Why did I miss it? Because I wanted to be busy, I wanted to keep myself occupied and when someone gives you no chose but to occupy yourself, I find it very encouraging (especially if I want to do it!). The best part about school is that I'm taking mostly 10th-grade classes. Biology, Geometry, Honors English, Art in World Cultures (ELECTIVE), HOPE (this is P.E.), Civics (Charisma and I could've taken this in 8th grade but my parents didn't want us too), and Digital Literacy (it's required. Trust me, I tried to get out of it....). :D I'm going to be so busy! :D
My Japanese is going well, although I would like better sources for vocabulary and grammar (those are the two things I'm currently working on). Or maybe, I don't know, a teacher? As some of you might know, it's my goal to take a college course for Japanese at my local community college while in 10th grade. That is why I must get all A's on my report card. I'm an over-achiever when it comes to school. If I don't get an A or a B, I will be absolutely shattered, but I would still tell my parents that I got a low score, because they'll either help me, remind me of my goal, tell me to get help from a teacher if I'm really struggling with a certain concept, and a whole lot more.
I'm digitally editing a character that I drew! And let me tell you, *laughs*, I don't have anything fancy. No SAI, no Wacom Cintiq or Intuos, no Photoshop. Nada. Zilch. Nothing. All I've got is my handy-dandy, scanner, Paint (which is already installed on every computer), and my imagination. And truthfully, I am terrified. This is the scariest experience of my artist life. (I have several lives: Writer's Life, Artist's Life, Blogger's Life, Over-Achiever's Life, Crocheter's Life, Reader's Life, OTAKU's Life, Family Person's Life, and Outstanding-Amazing Friend's Life. I have nine lives unless someone can see more of my lives that I can't see... One might say I have nine lives. :D) Since I've never done this before (and since I have ZERO LAYERS. I didn't know what layers did before, but now I know that layers ARE A BLESSING!!! Do not take those beauties for granted!) I'm watching my sister (who is digital editing too) while she gives me tips, and I'm re-doing everything for the Umpteenth time. Though, I will survive.
I read a variety of good books this summer (don't worry, I'm gonna do some Book Reviews before school starts) and now I have found my favorite Female author: Katy Towell. I love her so much, that reading the two books she published were satisfaction for a week. Her books are all the scary, friendship, terrifying-suspenseful moments I could ever want in a book! :D Her website is called Skary and, I believe, she's working on another book (oh am I excited!).
I've had one for a while know but, I'm finally on Miiverse! I've put several posts from my gaming experiences on Demo's and full games, although they're all from Nintendo. I've posted some Style Savvy: Trendsetters and Fashion Forward, some Pokemon X and some other games as well. I'm trying to earn the money to buy some games (Animal Crossing: New Leaf is NEXT on my list. Unless someone convinces me otherwise), yet that's taking a whole lot longer than anticipated.
So yup! This is life. I hope all of you have a great rest of summer break!
Bianca and I had the awesome opportunity to watch Nintendo's E3 live on Twitch on the 14th and the 15th. We knew that some awesome games were going to be introduced, demonstrated, and there was going to be some intense game-play, but what we saw was beyond anything I had imagined!
At Nintendo E3 Day 1, these two games were shown:
Pokemon Sun and Moon
Pokemon Sun and Moon @ E3 2016
and the new
Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild @ E3 2016
Pokemon Sun and Moon
Once Reggie opened up NIntendo E3, he gave a quick introduction for Pokemon Sun and Moon, saying that it was the biggest new adventure for the 3DS. After the Treehouse members introduced the guests, which were Mr. Ohmori and Mr. Masuda from GAME FREAK Inc., they showed the Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer. -_- I can't find that trailer though. Sorry about that.
Anyways, the trailer showed the new Alola Region, consisting of 4 different islands, one being man-made, the cute new Starter Pokemon: Rowlet, Litten and Popplio, the awesome Legendary Pokemon: Solgaleo and Lunala, the options of choosing your hero or heroine (which now has 4 different looks instead of the 3), and some of the characters that you'll be encountering (like the Professor, his assistant, and your new friend in Alola).
The trailer was truly outstanding, but then they jumped into gameplay. I got to say, this has got to be my first time really watching Pokemon gameplay (I watched a bit of Pokemon X and Y, but really just the beginning) and it was great! It was also Nintendo Treehouse's first time for live gameplay of Pokemon! It was super great to be a part of that, even if Bianca and i were at home watching on the couch. :P
The Pokemon game-play had so many pluses going for it that portraying it all will be kind of difficult. So let's just start with the first one on my list (because I took notes so you all can hopefully experience the awesomeness):
Pokemon Sun and Moon comes out on November 18th, 2016.
Next is the Highly Anticipated:
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful that title is? All of the Legend of Zelda titles are amazing, but this one has to be the best of them all. It says so much is so few words and it already gives the player an image of what they might encounter. But, instead of trying to portray the beauty into words, why not show you all the magic?
The Legend of Zelda games are held dear to many gamer's hearts, and I'm quite sure that this game is going to join that fast growing list.
Treehouse members, who was joined by the amazing Mr. Aonuma and Mr. Miyamoto, said that this game was to break the barriers between all past Zelda games. This got me super excited because in the trailer the super long bridge that was shown was seen and used in Twilight Princess. Then my mind got theorizing about how all the games could be connected and this timeline was created: (Spoilers Ahead!) Ocarina of Time - because it's the beginning, Marjora's Mask - Link is searching for Navi because she left him at the end of OoT, Hyrule Warriors - Link's admittance to the Hyrule Knights, Twilight Princess - reason being the Hero's Shade is said to be Link from OoT, then Skyward Swork - The floating islands were also in Twilight Princess, also it's a great progression with technology, lastly this game. It all sort of ties in. You know, with creativity. But anyways, moving back to the report.
The rest of Day 1 for Nintendo's E3 was spent viewing gameplay of the long awaited Legend of Zelda game. Because of that, I have a lot of points to go over on my list. So instead of completely boring you, I'm going to shorten them quite a bit:
I could keep on going and probably spoil some stuff, but I don't want to do that. I want it to be an adventure for everyone out there who's going to play it. :3
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild comes out in 2017.
There's more game excitement coming up in a few days. Because Day 2 of Nintendo's E3 covered a lot more games, I'm probably going to put Day 2 into quite a few parts. So be on the look out for those! The other posts will be in the "Game Reviews," just to give you all a heads up!
Also! I want to know all of your opinions on what Bianca and I should call you. Like Parker Games' followers are called Jeffery's, so we wanted to do something like that. Here it is:
Are you looking forward to any of these games? Tell us in the comments!
Before I begin this lovely post, I must tell you a short little story that I had with Charisma today. I was minding my own business and doing school when I said aloud, "What are the factors of 63?". Charisma then asked, "Piggy Fruit?"
PIGGY FRUIT PEOPLE.
I began laughing (because I couldn't believe she said Piggy Fruit) and said, "What?!" in between my hysterical dolphin/hyena (I either call my laugh a hyolphin or a dolphyena). And then she went on to say, "J-Just don't listen to me....".
At the time, it was hilarious, but looking back it's super sad. :D I guess that's what makes it funny.
Alright! Now on to the actual post!
Let's begin with the Advantages:
Mind Reading Powers
Yes it's a thing. Twins are born with it and they just have this type of connection. When one gets hurt, the other feel injured. When one is separated from the other, they both feel lost and confused (this happens to be my experience with Charisma and I KNOW there are other types of twins out there, so ask about their experiences too). And twins can finish each other sentences or they can say the act same thing at the exact same time that you were going to.
Let me expand on something: Finishing Each Other Sentences
Crying, Singing, Dancing
YOU GET TO DO THIS WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND. Isn't that just great? To sing a random song in the backseat while your older sisters and parents are having a serious conversation (someone needs to lighten the mood), to dance in the grocery store (we've actually been complemented many times for doing this), to cry at everything Marvel, DC Comics, books, anime's and etc. (We ALL know that Anime's and Books kill hearts.) So it's nice to know that you don't have to do it alone.
Loves The Same Thing
Since twins are still human, we each have different things we like, what we don't like, and so forth. But, there are just some things that we absolutely adore (and it's because we get each other hooked and then in the near future we blame each other for getting hooked on something... because we love it to much.)
And those are the advantages! There are plenty more, don't feel as if that's it, but I can't remember them (I had this whole post planned out and I forgot like half of what I wanted to talk about....!!) Now, we're off to the Disadvantages:
Since your twin is your absolute best friend, it sort of feels VERY hard to find another best friend (you know, that's outside of your family). And it's really sad because you WANT to make another best friend.
The Third Wheel
I always feel that whenever I make a new friend, I become the third wheel (BUT HEY. I'm to happy to let that bother me!). Although I feel as if when we (meaning me and Charisma) make a new friend together then our new friend will either be bombarded by questions or feel like the third wheel (because Charisma and I like to talk among ourselves as well). And that makes me feel really bad because I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE ANYONE OUT!!! It makes me sad.... :'(
Since twins are connected we do everything together. So if one of us wants to have a private conversation with our mother or father, the other isn't allowed (which I don't understand because later on we're going to tell each other). Although, those alone talks our very helpful because being a twin can be hard sometimes. This brings us to our next topic:
You remember when I said that twins tell each other everything and add on to a conversation when the other just doesn't know what to say? Well, that can get VERY aggravating. Especially when, in the first place, you were handling the conversation rather well and, two, you could actually think (I'm not sure, but I think that I can actually put more words together when I'm a good distance away from Charisma. It doesn't mean I don't love her to death, it's just that when ever I see her I want to tell her a bunch, but I still want to talk to the human beings that I'm friends with--this will bring us to our next topic). Weird and confusing, right?
And it is VERY annoying when the twin adds UN-NEEDED information. That's when it's the worst and most aggravating.
Morse Code... For Twins
Well, I guess this can be placed as both an Advantage and Disadvantage. The reason being is that when you talk in public areas, Charisma and I can talk about the most RANDOM-EST things ever. But it's also very annoying when an adult, who has NO idea what we're talking about (we could be talking about school), says 'You two should be talking about something that could effect (or is it affect?!) people's lives.'
That just hurts.
And then... we become silent. It hurts when people say that. Honestly it does. There isn't a lot we can talk about except what we know (which is techincally games, books, games, anime's, games, manga's, games, Marvel, games, DC Comics, school, knitting, crocheting... you get the idea). AND WE'RE HOMESCHOOLED FOR PETE'S SAKE. Not a lot of interaction (WEELLLLL other than teachers of course and time to time we do get open chat).
It's also very sad when you're talking to a friend and they don't have any idea what we're talking about. Because you want to talk about it with them! And, yes, at times, it is nice to have everyone ignore you and just talk (yes, it does feel nice during some occasions) with your best friend. (But we don't want to hear snarky remarks because of that...)
So yes! I absolutely LOOOOVVVVEEEE being a twin. I've handled a lot of situations with Charisma, so I'm used to (almost) everything. I wouldn't trade Charisma out for the world. Sometimes I wonder why people say 'Oh, I wish I had a twin'.
Do you have anymore questions about being a twin? Do you have a twin? Or do you have a best friend that's like your twin? Tell us in the comments!
Hello again world!
Lately, I have been obsessing over a box of Japan goodies called Doki Doki Crate by Japan Crate. This crate is filled with happy, happy sunshine. Gosh, I love this box (I call it a box since it is MUCH easier to say than crate, in my opinion).
Do you remember SuperCuteKawaii from the blog post 'Best. Blogs. Ever.'? WELL, they opened up the January Doki Doki box and I love it! I also so a video about someone opening the Doki Dokie box, sooooo I'mmma gonna show you that one! (The video is for the December 2015 Doki Doki box.)
I love it! It just so darn cute and adorable. Charisma and I are thinking about whether we should subscribe to this or not. And if we do, what plan would we choose? IT'S SO HARD.... :'(
Hmm... I haven't talked about my daily life in a long time have I? WELL, I have a 81% in Algebra 1, I have an 88% in Comprehensive Science 3, I'm not sure what I have for LAC (Literary Analysis and Composition) because they won't tell me, and I have a 100% for Geography which is proving to be MUCH harder than I anticipated it to be (DARN YOU GREAT SCHOOL).
Yes, I am still Cheerleading. I've been saying that I don't like it and everything, but I'm still at it. Funny right? But I guess it has it perks, you know? Going to all the games are very aggravating, I have to learn new dances and cheers every week, and my mother thinks that I LOVE it a lot. At some moments I do, just not every single minute. How do you tell someone that you don't like something that they thought you liked? I-I'll figure that out...
I still have my glasses and they aren't going ANYWHERE. Although, I do want new glasses. I've had mine for two, maybe three(?) years now. But, hey, as long as I still like them, they're fine.
Let us move on! Hmm... what else has been happening in my life... Well, I guess not much else. For Christmas, Charisma and I got an Xbox 360 with Forza Horizon 2 on it and it is sooo much fun.
Well, I must be off! I have left a special button for you to click on getting you straight to the Doki Doki crate site. Have fun!
Once again, you must travel back in time to yesterday (that's the only way this post will make sense) and as you finish remember that no one can travel back in time (WELLLL, technically, that's no true because you have your memories and memories are your gate way to the past. So, you know, if you look at it that way....).
Tomorrow, yes tomorrow, will be the beginning of 2016. Janurary will begin, school will start the second semester, a lot of exciting shows and movies will be coming out, people will be wishing that the holidays weren't over, and it's going to be the year of the presidential election.
Wow. Put it like that and 2016 sounds scary (except for the show/movies part). I don't want to bore you with why I put the 'presidential election' thing-a-ma-gig-er up there, but this years wanna-be presidents don't thrill me. At all. And I don't like politics much so I guess that could be a reason why too.
I'll try not to think of 2016 very much (how can I not think of 2016?!!???! It's literally tomorrow!!!).
Charisma and I have started our Marvel movie watching! Meaning we've only seen Hulk (2003 version), Iron Man (you know, the one with Robert Downey Junior? The very first one?), and Thor (the one and only Chris Hemsworth is in it). Our next movie is Captain America with the dreamy Chris Evans. Eeep! I am so excited! :D
Charisma and I have been working on collaborative stories together for a good while (none of them seem to be going, if you know what I mean) and I've been wanting to make this RPG board game for quite some time (maybe something like Dungeons and Dragons?). But the question that's been stopping me from making the game (all you need is rules, character classes and a pair of dice.... Right?) is should I make it into a book before I make it into a game (I have made some characters that I really want people to enjoy and have fun reading, but would it be cooler that the characters I made were mentors and went on journeys with the RPG-er's?) or should I make the game first and incorporate that into a book? Yup, I know. C-O-N-F-U-S-I-N-G.
I don't even have a name yet.... Oh well! I'll think of one (sooner or later).
Does anyone have their New Year's Resolution written down yet? I don't (because I usually write it down at night time).
Well, I must be off! I'm a late little bunny and I have things to do.
(I realize that not everyone celebrates Halloween, and I respect that, so I've decided not to have a Halloween picture.)
Hello everyone! I must apologize for not posting last week. We got a punishment for procrastinating two lessons of school and our consequences was that we couldn't do anything other than school and chores for the whole entire week. Again really sorry!
A LOT has happened since the last time I wrote a blog post, so this may or may not be a long post. Just expect the unexpected. :p The question is where to begin?
Hmm... let's see. Well, Charisma and I have become obsessed with this Youtuber called Parker_Games. He is a Minecraft player and he is so funny and makes my day every time I watch one of his videos. Do you want to see one?
Isn't he hilarious? :D We watch his videos at least every day. If not that, we make sure he's updating his Twitter. OH! There is only 2 days, 5 hours, 36 min, and 39 seconds 'till NaNoWriMo. I AM SO EXCITED! So expect a TON of posts in My Writing Journey... If not, I'm writing.
Teen Author Boot Camp has their 2016 TABC information up! I am SO happy. The keynote speakers are Margaret Peterson Haddix (Among the Hidden, Found) and Dan Wells (Partials). The sad part about all this happy is that.... I'm not sure if we're going or not. School's still going to be in and TABC raised their prices. I know they have to accommodate to the unexpected growth of teens and I value that they are trying to make everything better for the teens, it's just that I might not be able to save up that much (*laughs* I've already paid it all off except 10 bucks....).
Charisma and I will be changing our schedule (again) because it's becoming a little bit to hectic for us, posting everyday. Once we have our OFFICIAL schedule (I'm not sure when that's going to be) we'll update. But for now, I think we'll be posting when we have the time too.
I haven't written in my story in a long time, although I am prepared to start writing for NaNoWriMo (if you want to what I'm writing, click here).
I STILL HAVE ALL 'A's IN MY SCHOOL! It is literally the BEST thing ever and I am so thankful.
I was thinking the other day that all of you don't really know me. SO I decided to tell you a little bit about me as a person. I'm religious. I know to some people, it would make them feel uncomfortable and I don't want you to feel that way, that is why I don't post religious things. I enjoy going to church and attending youth activities, it's another way to express myself.
If you give me fifteen minutes to wake up. I will wake up (if you shake me really hard... if you don't, I'm Sleeping Beauty... 'till 10). For REAL. I know how to do karate... No, I don't know how to do karate at ALL. If a yellow belt came up to me and said, "Fight," I would laugh and then run.
I'm an emotional person. Like really emotional. There is this movie called 'Gravity' and I cried during the movie and I was still crying when I went to sleep. That was 2-3ish hours. That's a long time. I even cried to this (cause it's sad).
If you cried to that, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. If you didn't, I applaud you. You are very, very, VERY brave. I really want to play the game now. But I don't want to be MORE depressed.
Hmm... What else about me... I want to make people happy. If I find out they're sad for ANY reason at all, I will immediately contact them and strike a conversation to make them happy. Being sad is a terrible thing. And I don't like bullying.
I think that's it. But I will open myself more to all of you. You have helped me grow not only as a person, but as a warrior elf princess (because we're all royalty).
Thank you everyone for what you do!
Watashi wa Bianca desu. Watashi wa yunīku desu.
(I am Bianca, and I am unique.)
Either Nintendo is just flat out awesome or gamer paradise. I can't pick, but in any case... NINTENDO YOU RULE THE GAMING WORLD.
Okay.... That might just be me who thinks that... Might, but I truly do think that. I mean... LOOK!
XD HOW COOL IS THAT GIF.? I thought it was pretty sweet, and I'm kind of drooling over it... But ANYWAY. They are making a Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 3DS, they're making a new Nintendo 3DS XL (which I'm now calling 'New Nintendo 3DS XLR8'. Thank you Charisma for coming up with the name) But I mean, how cool is Majora's Mask? (Epicness in its self)
And let's up not forget about the OTHER Legend of Zelda games... (I've only played one and seen walkthrough's for the other... -_-)
And then comes FIRE EMBLEM. Never played one of their games or watched any walkthroughs, but one day... I'm going too. But here is the reason why Fire Emblem...
And this is just the TEASER Trailer.... But then, this guy comes and starts Analyzing the who entire trailer! (Which can be found here) How COOL IS THAT?! I think it's pretty sweet. But, that's just me. Anyway, then there is Mario games and Super Smash Bros. Brawl and then there's other games which are super cool.
Thanks and tell me what you think in the comments!
(P.S. Follow Your Inspiration Month starts tomorrow! Come and join us! Click here and here for the posts about it!)
I'm TIRED!!! Everyone drained out my energy and all I want to do is sleep. IT'S NINE O'CLOCK OVER HERE!!! I'm just so tired and want to all asleep on everything.... But-I-Must-Finish-My-Schoooooooooollllll........
It's Bianca here! Today, I have been so lazy. I just want to flop on my bed and sleep. I didn't even get a lot of sleeping in. (Which is a terrible thing, yes I know.) Anyway, I have to stay up until I finish at least SOME of my school. But today was Yearbook Picture day! Yay, right? It was fun! Its just I was nervous like a duck.... -_- It felt terrible. Now, I'm just lazying around pretending I've got stuff to say.
Next up, I found out that Club Nintendo is going to stop.... :( Which was so sad on my part... I'm going to miss it. But the Nintendo site is still going to run. *sigh* I'm going to miss you Club Nintendo.... Anywho, I've been avoiding writing lately because I'm just not sure what to write about. UNTIL YESTERDAY (thank YOU basketball game!)! I've decided to go in a WAAAAYYYY different direction for my writing. Instead of fantasy, why not a book based on a something that is REAL?! Well, I guess all ideas are from REAL things, but this one is--I guess I'm trying to say is--Okay you know what, I just can't describe what it's about, it's just going to be EPIC! I should start writing right now huh?
Everybody have a good day (and sleep well!)
(P.S. Sorry that none of the schedules have been working right for the past few weeks. I promise, in two weeks, we should be on a role with regular postings. Thanks!)
So as you can see by the title, I've been playing video games for the past week and it has been AWESOME! So far, Charisma and I have been chilling out with some Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, then we played some Mario Karts: Double Dash on the GameCube and then I've been obsessing over the new Legend of Zelda game that's about to come out.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Awesome sounding, right?
It's coming out Spring of this year (2015) and I'm just freaking out. (Here is the reason why I'm freaking out: Click Here) And since it's coming out to the 3DS, I'm even more happy! So, once I can get the game, I'll be happy and satisfied till I'm done with both games (like 100% done).
So, I've been drawing Majora's Mask and it's turning out pretty good so far actually. It's much better than I thought it was going to turn out. But, I'm kind of scared to continue, because I might mess it up (which would be terrible). But here are pictures of what the Majora's Mask looks like.
I also like to listen to Lovers Mask - Theophany. It is so beautiful.
I'm actually trying to draw the Mask in the video, because I thought that one looked like I could actually put the mask on and all.
So what's your favorite video game? Tell me in the comments!
The Hunger Games Mockingjay: Part 1 has finally come out! Unfortunately, I haven't read the books or watches the movies. But my older sister has read the books and she was super excited when it came out. And the song for Mockingjay is super good.
But, I'm still looking forward for when Part 2 comes out!
Thanks and please comment!
